About the Project
Phase 3 of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Solano Wind Farm project primarily consisted of the manufacturing, construction and installation of 55 wind turbine generators (WTG) for SMUD. The generators consist of up to 128 MUI of WTG net capacity, including associated SCADA and other ancillary equipment and service.
Construction at this phase was built on District-owned land (4,244 acres) located in the Montezuma Hills region of Solano County. Additional site work included new roadways (access roads), O&M building, power collection systems (circuits), utility crossings (transmission lines) and two meteorological towers.
