About the Project
The Golden 1 Center is located in the heart of Sacramento at the Downtown Plaza Mall. The multi-use arena was envisioned as an iconic civic space that works 365 days a year and celebrates the best of Sacramento and all it has to offer by incorporating indoor and outdoor design elements. It’s being called the “highest-tech stadium in sports” with a 4K video board, an ultra-interactive app for fans to use during events, and a massive amount of connectivity within the building. When it opens in Fall 2016, there will be no arena like it.
The building frame will consist of structural steel/braced frame construction, will seat approximately 18,000 people, and have a total gross area of approximately 674,000 square feet.
